Underpainting for Tampaland Diptych. Painting #1. Composing, indicating tone, locating abstract shapes. Cold, wet, decayed, warm, embracing, life. ----------mold---------
Trying to create patterns and designs from imagination. The goal is to use no rulers, grids, straight edges, or templates. The end result is something organic, trying to become perfect. Where the design is lopsided and loses its symmetry is when it becomes human. Doing sketches like these also helps me practice design, and compostion, in complete abstraction.
